The Philippines’ role in hosting the Asia Artist Awards (AAA), a South Korean event, is seen as a significant nod to the country’s K-pop enthusiasts. Vernon Go, the head of the local organizing firm PULP Live World, expressed this sentiment.

Go emphasized the importance of the Filipino fan base in the Korean music scene, stating that holding the AAAs in the Philippines is akin to a massive global acknowledgment of their significance.

The event also highlights the Filipino market’s importance to the Korean entertainment sector, according to Go.

Go credited his wife, Happee Sy-Go, a top concert producer and the leading K-pop promoter in Asia, as a key factor in persuading their Korean counterparts to host the AAAs in the Philippines. He mentioned that she is actively involved in addressing traffic management for the event with several private transportation companies.

Understanding the challenges of traffic, Go shared that his wife is at the forefront of innovating how events are managed at the chosen venue.

Go expressed his apprehensions but remained confident in his wife’s unique capability to handle the event successfully.

The eighth iteration of the AAAs is scheduled to take place at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan, on December 14. The event will feature a two-hour red carpet event followed by a six-hour program.

The awards ceremony will showcase a lineup of prominent artists and actors, including Seventeen BSS, Lim Young-woong, AKMU, Stray Kids, The Boyz, ITZY, NewJeans, Le Sserafim, Kim Seon-ho, Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Sejeong, Lee Junho, and Kim Young-dae.
